[TUTORIAL] Upgrade Lenovo A6000 Lollipop s052 to s054

In previous articles I have posted an article on how to upgrade Lenovo A6000 running Android Kitkat to the Android Lollipop version s052. And now I will share the experience of how to upgrade Lenovo A6000 running Lollipop version s052 to s054. This upgrade is needed if one day you want to upgrade version lollipop from s054 to s056.

Rooting or installing a custom rom or recovery might brick your device or your  device may act abnormally and you also lose the device warranty. You may even get a dead SD card which might not work or you can leave your device in a dead state. Before going through the entire tutorial please be advised that it is your own responsibility to go further. We are not  liable for any loss of data or any property of yours by any mean.

Pre-Requisites Before Upgrading

1. Backup of your personal data
2. Make sure the battery capacity of more than 50 %
3. Make sure your device running Android Lollipop s052, visit tutorial here
4. Your device never rooted

For updating the device manually, you need to download Update Patch Lenovo A6000 Kraft-A6000 S052 to S054, click here to download the file. After successfully downloading the file, extract it and then connect your Lenovo A6000 to your computer through USB cable and transfer System.zip file to the SD card on the root folder.

Now, power off your device and go to recovery mode by holding volume up, volume down, and power button together. When your device is in recovery mode, select the Apply Update From SD Card, locate the System.zip file you have copied on the root folder of SD card and hit enter by hold down power button. Wait until upgrade process finished.
