[TUTORIAL] Upgrade Lenovo A6000 From Kitkat to Lollipop

Lenovo has already announced the release of android lollipop OTA update for the type a6000 and a6000 Plus. But some users complained about the appearance of an error message when it finishes the update process. In this article I will guide you how to update your Lenovo A6000 device from the Android Kitkat to Android Lollipop using manual update method.
How To Upgrade Lenovo A6000 From Kitkat to Lollipop

Warning

Rooting or installing a custom rom or recovery might brick your device or your  device may act abnormally and you also lose the device warranty. You may even get a dead SD card which might not work or you can leave your device in a dead state. Before going through the entire tutorial please be advised that it is your own responsibility to go further. We are not  liable for any loss of data or any property of yours by any mean.

Pre-Requisites Before Upgrading

  1. Backup of your personal data
  2. Make sure the battery capacity of more than 50 %
  3. Your device unrooted

For updating the device manually, you need to download Android Lollipop ROM for Lenovo A6000, click here to download the file. After successfully downloading the file, connect your Lenovo A6000 to your computer through USB cable and transfer the Kraft-A6000_S052_150825_WCCA.zip to the SD card on the root folder.

Now, power off your device and go to recovery mode by holding volume up, volume down, and power button together. When your device is in recovery mode, do wipe data / factory reset and wipe cache partition. This action will erase the data in the internal memory and the device will return to factory settings. So make sure you have backed up your data.

After you do a wipe data and cache partition, select the Apply Update From SD Card, locate the ROM file you have copied and hit enter by hold down power button.

Once installation is done  and you get message ERROR 14, reboot your Lenovo A6000. The device will take some minute to start the OS.
